Welcome to Commuters Repair Shop. We’re a small, community-focused repair shop built around quality work, fairness, and respect. These terms simply explain how we operate and protect both you and us.

By using our website or leaving equipment with us for service, you agree to the following:

 

1. Service Authorization

By leaving your equipment with us, you confirm that:

• You are the legal owner (or authorized by the owner).
• You approve the requested service and repairs.
• You understand that estimates are approximate and may change after full inspection.

If we discover additional issues that affect safety or function, we’ll contact you before proceeding whenever possible.

 

2. What We Service

We service standard, non-electric bicycles, as well as skis and snowboards.

We do not service e-bikes under any circumstances.
This includes electric bicycles, electric conversion kits, batteries, or any related electrical components.

If an e-bike is brought in, we reserve the right to refuse service.

 

3. Mechanical & Safety Disclaimer

Bikes and snow equipment are mechanical systems that experience wear and stress. While we stand behind our work, you understand that:

• Older or heavily worn components may fail, even after service.
• Previously damaged or non-serviceable parts may not be repairable.
• Riding and snow sports involve inherent risk.

It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect their equipment before use and to ride within their ability.

 

4. Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 7-day workmanship guarantee on labour performed.

This covers issues directly related to our service.
It does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
• Crashes or misuse
• Environmental damage (rust, corrosion, water damage)
• Unrelated component failure
• Manufacturer defects

Parts are covered only under their manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable).

 

5. Parts & Special Orders

• Special orders may require a deposit or full price prepaid.
• Special order parts are non-refundable unless defective.
• Returns may be subject to a restocking fee.

 

6. Storage & Unclaimed Equipment

We’ll notify you when your equipment is ready.

• Equipment not picked up within 30 days may incur storage fees.
• Equipment left unclaimed for 90 days may be considered abandoned and may be sold to recover service and storage costs, in accordance with Ontario law.

We’re a small shop with limited space, so timely pickup is appreciated.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service performed.
• We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.
• We are not liable for loss or damage due to fire, theft, or circumstances beyond our control.

 

8. Website Information

All content on this website is provided for general information.
Services, pricing, and availability may change without notice.

 

9. Privacy

We collect only the information necessary to complete your service and communicate with you.
We do not sell or share your information except as required by law.

 

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.

 

11. Updates

We may update these Terms & Conditions occasionally. Continued use of our services means you accept any updates.
